Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and ⟨operating company⟩ ("Nabesh", "we", "us"), the operator of nabesh.com. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use Nabesh.

We have written them in plain language on purpose. Where a sentence is short, that is because it means what it says.

1. What Nabesh is

Nabesh is a job marketplace for Syria. Job seekers build a profile and apply to positions. Companies create a workspace, publish positions and review the applications they receive.

We are not an employer, an employment agency, or a party to any working relationship that begins here. We introduce people to each other. What happens after that — interviews, offers, contracts, pay, conduct at work — is between you and the other party. We do not guarantee that a job seeker will find work, that a company will find a candidate, or that any position or any person described on Nabesh is as described.

2. Who can use Nabesh

You may create an account if you are old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live.

If you are under 18 you can build a complete profile, but you cannot make it public, cannot appear in employer searches and cannot apply to a position. That restriction is in the product, not just in this document, and it is there because work by minors carries protections we are not yet in a position to administer. We will say so in the product when it changes.

One person, one account. Do not share your account or sign in as somebody else. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

3. Your account

Your email address is your identity on Nabesh. You sign in with it and you recover access with it, so keep it current and keep it reachable. If you sign in with Google, we use your Google account only to identify you; see the privacy policy for exactly what Google tells us.

Keep your password to yourself. Tell us at [email protected] if you think somebody else has your account.

4. If you are looking for work

Tell the truth. Your profile is a representation to employers about your experience, your qualifications and your skills. Do not claim work you did not do, qualifications you do not hold or an identity that is not yours. This is the one obligation on this page we will act on quickly.

Your profile is public once you activate it. Activation is a deliberate act. Once you take it, your name, photograph, headline, city, experience, education, skills and languages are readable by anyone on the internet at your public address, and are indexed by search engines. Your date of birth, your age, your gender, your nationality, your phone number and your email address are never shown publicly. The privacy policy sets out exactly who sees what.

Applying shares your profile. When you apply, the company receives your profile as it stood at that moment, your answers to their questions, your CV and your introduction video if you have one, and your contact details. Withdrawing an application later stops the process; it does not take back what the company already received.

5. If you are hiring

By creating a workspace and publishing a position you confirm all of the following.

• You are authorised to act for the company you name. Do not create a workspace for a company you do not represent.
• Your positions are real. Every published position is a role you are genuinely seeking to fill, described accurately — the work, the location, the arrangement and the pay you are offering.
• You will never ask a candidate for money. Not a fee, not a deposit, not a payment for training, equipment, placement or a visa. There is no situation in which asking a job seeker on Nabesh for money is acceptable, and doing it ends your access immediately.
• You will use candidate information only to consider that candidate for the position they applied to. Not for marketing, not for building a list, not for passing to anyone else, and not for any purpose the candidate would not expect. You may keep what you need for your own hiring records and for as long as the law where you operate requires; everything beyond that should be deleted.
• You will not discriminate on grounds unrelated to the job — including gender, religion, sect, ethnicity, place of origin, disability or family status — and you will not ask for information about them.
• You will treat what you receive as confidential. A CV and an introduction video are personal. Do not publish them, forward them outside the people in your company who need them, or use them to identify or locate somebody for any purpose other than hiring.

You are responsible for what the people you invite into your workspace do in it.

6. What you post

You keep ownership of everything you put on Nabesh — your profile, your CV, your video, your job posts. You give us permission to store it, to show it to the people this service is built to show it to, and to make the technical copies that hosting and delivering it require. Nothing more.

Do not post anything that is not yours to post, anything unlawful, anything that identifies another person without their agreement, or anything designed to harm — malware included.

7. Assistance from software

Parts of Nabesh use automated systems, including AI models, to read a CV you upload, to help you fill in your profile or a job post, and to check submitted text against our own rules. These are aids. They get things wrong. What ends up on your profile or in your job post is yours, and you are responsible for checking it before it is published.

No automated system decides whether you get a job. We do not score candidates for employers, and we do not rank people by a machine's judgement of their suitability. Whether an application succeeds is a decision a person at the company makes.

8. What Nabesh costs

Nabesh is free to use, including job publishing. Job seekers are not charged, and we have no intention of charging them. If we introduce paid features for companies, we will say so before they apply to you, and nothing you have already published will start costing money without notice.

Limits on how many positions a workspace can have open, and for how long, are shown in the product and may change.

9. Suspending or ending access

You can stop using Nabesh at any time. To have your account and its data removed, write to [email protected]; the privacy policy explains what that removes and what it does not.

We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms. We will normally tell you why. Where somebody is being deceived, put at risk or asked for money, we will act first and explain afterwards.

Ending an account does not undo obligations either of us already had, and does not delete records we are required to keep.

10. Interruptions, and the limits of what we promise

We will try to keep Nabesh working and your data safe, and we will not always succeed. The service is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular moment, and we may change or withdraw features.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of work, loss of earnings, loss of an opportunity, or for anything a company or a job seeker you met here does. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of ⟨governing jurisdiction⟩ — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Changes to these terms

We will update these terms as Nabesh changes. Every version carries the date it took effect, and that date is recorded against your acceptance, so it is always possible to establish which wording you agreed to.

If a change materially affects your rights, we will ask you to accept the new version rather than assume you have. Continuing to use Nabesh after a non-material change means you accept it.

12. Law, and disagreements

These terms are governed by the law of ⟨governing jurisdiction⟩, and the courts of ⟨governing jurisdiction⟩ have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Before that, please write to us. Most disagreements are a misunderstanding, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.
